Scott F. Marsh began at Maroa Christian Church in October 2016. Originally from the northern panhandle of West
Virginia, Scott was raised in Akron, Ohio, and came to Christ at a young age. Scott graduated from Cuyahoga Valley Christian
Academy in 1982, from St. Paul Bible College (now Crown College) in 1986, and earned a Master of Arts degree from Antietam
Biblical Seminary in Hagerstown, Maryland in 1989. Since 2001 Scott has served as pastor of Texas Christian Church in
Clinton, Illinois.
He and his wife, Tammy, live in Maroa. Scott is the president of the Clinton Area Ministerial
Association (CAMA) since 2013, and recently formed the DeWitt County
Chaplaincy Team with five other local pastors to serve the police, sheriff,
fire, and emergency medical service agencies of DeWitt
County. Scott also serves as a firefighter/chaplain on the Kenney Fire
Department. Scott has published nine books, the most recent being "The Little
White Church on the Hill," a history of Texas Christian Church (the mother
church of Maroa Christian Church).
